Wood purchased from HomedepotBefore placing joists I use a Square to measure corners and nail gun to secure them.To place the Joist first I measured and marked 16 inch centers. Then tap them into place with rubber mallet. Then use Nail gun to secure themDeck frame one done on to the next.The old deck frame was probably savable but I decided to rebuild it anyway.The old wood from the back deck.This is the new back deck frame. Ensured it was level. I didnt think to check the distance and height for the steps which caused me a few issues when placing the steps.Decided to raise the steps on the left so they match the right side.Decided to raise the steps on the left so they match the right side.Time to start on front deckCould save them but new is betterNasty mess need to clean that upWish i had thought about burying the blocks at this point.This is what ya do when you don't have a truck.. :)
